“Sleuth: Shades of Mystery” is an online, interactive, role-playing game (RPG) that puts you in the shoes of a rookie detective that can take on and solve mysteries.

You'll be able to search for clues, interview possible suspects, and more all the while gaining skill points and earning cash that you can trade in for items that can help you solve mysteries.

• With a free account, you can play and solve up to four mysteries in a day.

• If you opt to sign up for a Premium account, which is $9.00 a month, you can play and solve up to 30 mysteries a day and can play without seeing a banner ad on the side of the page. You also have the option of starting your own detective agency (group), and team up with other detectives (members) to solve a case.

To get started, you'll first need to create your detective.

You can choose to have a male or female detective and can create your detective's appearance from a variety of eye, nose, mouth, color, and accessory options (such as hats and glasses).

You'll also be able to choose your detective's background, however; be sure to choose carefully as the background that you choose will determine what specific skills that you have when you begin.

After you choose a background, you'll be able to name your detective, create your free account, and start the game.

On your first case, you'll be provided with a helpful interactive walk-through to show you how to play and what exactly that you'll need to do – after that, you're on your own. If you get stuck, be sure to review your 'Case File' and feel free to take notes of your own.
